Eve is a leading racehorse trainer, based on the Berkshire downs high above the village of Blewbury. The historic Woodway Stables boast 200 acres of untouched turf downland gallops and a seven furlong all weather gallop making it an ideal location for horses to thrive and winners to be trained.
HISTORY
The Johnson Houghton family are steeped in racing history.
Eve is the daughter of Fulke Johnson Houghton who trained at Woodway for over 40 years, having taken over from his mother Helen who in turn had taken over from her husband, Gordon.
Eve is following in her family's footsteps and has the experience to succeed at the very top. Having worked in London Eve returned to Lambourn and worked for Henry Ponsonby managing his successful racing syndicates.

We are proud of our historic gallops, perfect for training horses combined with fabulous modern facilities.
GALLOPS
We have 200 acres of private grass gallops, together with a seven furlong carpeta fibre gallop.
On wet or cold mornings we have a covered ride as well as an eight horse walker. We also have full physiotherapy back up with Michelle Hayward visiting every week providing equine massage.
Gordon Johnson Houghton, a fully qualified and insured McTimoney-Corley Skeletal Therapist is on hand to sort out backs, aka Gordon the Back Man.
